Sofia Leal was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas where she has trained in various dance disciplines. As a movement artist and purpose-driven individual, her passion for human performance led her to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Studies with focuses in Interpersonal Communication, Psychology, and Kinesiology with a minor in Dance from the University of North Texas. At UNT, she helped lead, choreograph, and compete with hip-hop based team, Choreoblock, as well as perform in modern and contemporary focused showcases through the UNT Dance and Theater Department. She is currently a contracted high school choreographer for the Northside School District and Boerne School District where she has received regional and state level recognition for her choreography. Her lifelong devotion to the arts have further enriched her creative interests in digital design and photography. Sofia is liberated to be a vessel in TranScend Motion dance community and is driven to continue unfolding authentic expressions through the medium of art.
